Title: Head of analysis division, international reserves management department

Biography: Mr. Askar Ismailov is the Head of the Analysis Division in the International Reserves Management Department of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. In this role, he oversees the analysis of the Bank's international reserves portfolio, including risk management. Mr. Ismailov joined the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in 2014 and has since held a number of positions in the International Reserves Management Department, the Foreign Exchange Operations Division, and the Department of Prudential Regulation of Credit Organizations. He has participated in capacity-building programs of the World Bank Treasury and the International Monetary Fund. He also lectures part-time on financial markets and banking at the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent. Mr. Ismailov holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales.
