Biography

Onur Ozan is the Global Head of Payments Market Development at Swift, where he leads cross-regional teams to drive global payments growth through market expansion, go-to-market strategy, and strategic partnerships. He orchestrates initiatives across regions to scale the adoption of payment solutions, aligning product, sales, ecosystem, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver sustainable and inclusive growth. With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Onur is a recognized expert in payments, specializing in B2B, B2P, and P2P models, cross-border payments, and market-led growth strategies. He works closely with banks, payment market infrastructures, fintechs, and regulators worldwide to enable faster, more transparent, and more predictable cross-border transactions. Previously, Onur held senior regional leadership roles at Swift, including Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, Caucasus, and Central Asia, and earlier led channel management and solution sales across more than 70 markets. In addition to his professional work, Onur is an accredited coach and mentor with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and is actively involved in leadership development and corporate mentorship programs. Onur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Işık University (Türkiye) and an MBA from Hult International Business School (USA). He has also completed executive education programs at Solvay Brussels School and INSEAD, focusing on strategy, digital partnerships, and organizational leadership.
